This summer the eyes of the world will be on London and the magnificent Tower Bridge, one of the most recognisable bridges in the world. Le Pont de la Tour is located in the shadows of this iconic structure on historic Butlers Wharf. The Diamond Jubilee

The Diamond Jubilee will celebrate 60 years of the Queen’s reign. At high water on the afternoon of Sunday 3 June, the world’s eyes will be on the river Thames as Her Majesty The Queen leads the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant. It will be one of the largest flotillas ever assembled on the river, with Her Majesty taking the Royal Salute at Tower Bridge to celebrate her 60-year reign.

The celebrations will start as an “Avenue of Sail” assembles by Tower Bridge made by traditional Thames sailing boats, naval vessels, oyster smacks and other ships, giving another reason to dine at one of the restaurants on the Wharf.

Rings on the bridge

Tower Bridge will be at the heart of the 2012 Olympic celebrations, as a temporary installation of giant Olympic Rings and the Paralympic Agitos are installed during the Games period shining out onto Butlers Wharf.

Lighting of the Bridge

A stunning light display will play out each evening during the Games period, which will see Tower Bridge's gothic turrets, aerial walkway and suspension chains bathed in colour from energy-efficient lights.

Arrive to the venues by water

Butlers Wharf Pier is situated directly outside the restaurants offering the perfect way to avoid the traffic and arrive in style. Our events management team can co-ordinate a privately chartered boat to dock at the pier with a drinks and canapé reception on board.

Hosting an event

Le Pont de la Tour can offer a number of dining locations for you and your guests. The luxurious surroundings and magnificent river views of the main restaurant can accommodate groups of up to 50 guests or can be exclusively hired for up to 110 guests seated or 300 standing. For exclusive dining, the Salon Prive seats up to 20 and the cosy charms of the semi-private Wine Cellar can also seat up to 24. Our menus offer a choice for your guests and include a separate vegetarian menu.
