Wine Cellar Dinner with Vino di Anna

Join us on Friday 6th March as we celebrate International Women’s Day in true style. Join us for an evening in the wine cellar as we welcome Sicilian wine producer Anna Martens. (founder of Vino di Anna)

Enjoy a welcome aperitif, followed by the following three – course menu that Anna has specially paired with wines from her vineyard.

Aperitif: Jeudi 15 Rosato 2018 

Grilled sardines, aubergine caponata, octopus carpaccio, golden raisins.

paired with: 18 ANNARF 2018 jeudi 15, Vino di Anna

Braised rabbit, black olives, warm salad of treviso, artichoke and Pecornio.

Paired with: Qvevri Don Alfio  Vino di Anna 2016 

Chocolate semifreddo, coffee granita, ricotta doughnuts.

Paired with: Passito di Pantelleria Bukkuram Sole d’Agosto, Marco de Bartoli.

The evening will start at 7pm, with an aperitif in the wine cellar, and will be priced at £70pp.

Vino di Anna is a small family owned domain situated high on the north face of Mt Etna, near the village of Solicchiata.  Mount Etna is an incredible place to grow vines. The soils are black, fertile and rich in minerals. The volcano is in constant eruption, often sprinkling the vineyards with fresh cinders.  The vineyards are located along terraces at high altitudes (600-1200 metres). The climate is extreme making it both an exciting and challenging place to make natural wine.
