Le Pont de la Tour launches Le Pont Bistrot

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Le Pont de la Tour Bistrot on 12th May 2022, over 30 years after the original first opened on the banks of the Thames. Housed in the restaurant’s former bar, our new Bistrot venue is inspired by classic French bistros and brasseries, with a new menu designed by Executive Chef Tony Fleming.

For Le Pont de la Tour’s new Bistrot, Executive Chef Tony Fleming has created a menu inspired by regional French classics and the restaurant’s best-loved dishes with a more paired-back approach.

The Menu…

To begin, diners can choose from a selection classically prepared oysters and shellfish, alongside the likes of Warm Comté gougères Mussel and saffron soup; and Pig’s head terrine.

Standout main courses include Duck confit, peas à la française, honey and Madeira; Morel omelette, fines herbs, petit salad; and Saddleback pork belly, boudin noir and white asparagus. Guests can also enjoy Plats Du Jour such as Rabbit parmentier  on Tuesdays, Ray wing au poivre on Wednesdays, and Roast sirloin of Cumbrian beef on Sundays. To conclude, traditional French desserts will include Tarte au citron ; Crème caramel and Sorbets Maison , alongside a selection of French cheeses.

The Drinks…

Head Sommelier Michele Orbolato has created a concise, reasonably priced wine list to complement the menus in Le Pont de la Tour Bistrot, with a selection of both French and world wines starting from just £6 a glass. The Bistrot will also serve a selection of signature cocktails, including The Garden of Eden (Cardamom infused Tanqueray, Galliano, Cointreau, caramel, ginger ale); Save the Bees (Woodford Reserve, sage syrup, honey); and Midnight Stroll (Bulleit, Campari, Fernet, Cointreau).
